Picking Up Your Driver's License at КАТ

So you passed the practical exam. You're not done yet though, you still have to go to КАТ to actually pick up the physical license.

Wait a Bit First

Don't go the next day. They need to receive confirmation from the driving school that you passed first, which takes about a week, so just wait a bit.

What to Bring

Червен кръст - first aid course certificate
Медицинско - medical certificate
Лична карта - your ID
Диплом за образование - education diploma/certificate

Go Early

Go as early as you can, they open at 8am. It can get pretty crowded and there's a real chance you wait the whole day only for them to close before reaching you.

What Actually Happens There

You fill out some documents and then wait. You can also pay extra to get the license faster if you need it sooner.

Payment

Also make sure you can actually pay there. I think they didn't accept my card, so I had to go to a nearby bank, pay the fee there, and they gave me a payment receipt as proof. Then I just gave that to them at КАТ. Either bring cash or at least be prepared for that.
